&lt;p&gt;Potentially interesting features as far as Bitrim is concerned:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Adobe Flash support -&lt;/strong&gt; This means you may not need to install the Unity Web Player plug-in, although it won&amp;#8217;t be as nice graphically as the Web Player.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pathfinding&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt; -&lt;/strong&gt; Characters will be able to walk around the world.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;New Occlusion Culling&lt;/strong&gt; - This will improve performance. There is currently no optimisation done to Bitrim.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;General graphics optimisations&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/li&gt;

The Myst-style adventure game (Alpha 1, playable above) was all coded by hand.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Why Antares vs Playmaker?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Antares is full visual scripting, whereas Playmaker is just an &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finite-state_machine"&gt;FSM&lt;/a&gt;. To do anything complex, Playmaker requires a lot of custom Actions coded by hand, and lacks basic functionality like being able to handle lists (ArrayMaker gives me export errors).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This is good news if you&amp;#8217;re a fan of games like &lt;a href="http://www.amnesiagame.com/"&gt;Amnesia&lt;/a&gt; or &lt;a href="http://www.darknesswithin2.com/"&gt;Darkness Within 2&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It&amp;#8217;s much easier to build the game in this way because it makes a few things easier. I planned to have physics puzzles, but being stuck to movement nodes made them difficult to work with.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It will also make it possible to implement enemies, and Unity 3.5 comes with a new pathfinding solution.&lt;/p&gt;
